Gerry Browne can only be described as a veteran in Irish entertainment circles. He has been hugely successful in many different areas of the Business. From Writing songs / Studio recording / Live Performing / Acting / Producing Plays and Movies / Artist Management / and Promotions, Gerry has covered the entire entertainment spectrum. Including Business & Stage partner to Brendan O Carroll for 20 years, in which they were hugely successful with their Mrs Browns Boys Stage Shows / Theatre Plays/ Radio Soaps / he also Starred in the RTE TV Programme “Hot Milk N Pepper” Gerry’s first venture on to the big screen was with “Sparrow’s Trap” where he was Producer and actor. (Still in production}. Gerry is superb as “Froggy White”, a retarded man. Gerry has also appeared in two different roles in the movie “ANGELAS ASHES”. He has co-produced with Jim Sheridan the movie of “Agnes Browne” Movie “Agnes Browne” with Angelica and Tom Jones. adopted from “The Mammy” for Universal Pictures.
MUSICIAL HISTORY:
His first foray into entertainment was through the traditional and ballad world. Gerry plays Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, 4 & 5 string Banjo and Bodhran, as well as being a very fine singing and writing talent. He played in several folk and ballad groups on the Irish / US pub/club circuit. Many different artists have recorded Gerry’s songs, including The Dublin City Ramblers and Brendan O Carroll. In 1992 they received a Gold disc for sales of their first album “Yer a Sick Man Da”. Gerry wrote 5 tracks on this album. The album included their first entry into the Irish charts with the single “Hey Paddy” and the bands 2nd entry at No 7 with “Merry Christmas to the Irish everywhere”

Gerry has appeared on many different TV shows around the World, he co-hosted the quiz show “Hot Milk and Pepper”on RTE 1. Gerry has also appeared on several Ryantown, Secrets and TV3’s Breakfast show with the “papers today slot”.
